Congratulations to Those Receiving Their New Belts Today!

Monday, April 29th, 2013

Continue to dedicate yourself and try your best to reach your goals! Special congratulations to the parents who motivate and bring to class every day! Your children would not be where they are without your support!

Today our USMA juniors brought chairs for their parents to sit and watch their promotion from their previous belt to their new belt never forgetting to respect themselves, their parents, and those around them. In this process, they were reminded to not forget their past progress and to learn from their present experiences. Great work to them!

Congratulations to the adults and their families! Thank you to the parents, husbands, wives, children of the adults who were promoted! When one person in the family succeeds, the whole family succeeds! May you continue your journey!

Congratulations to Our Adults Who Tested in April!

Friday, April 26th, 2013

Congratulations to the teens and adults who have tested!

A Special ‘Thank You’ to Master Robert, Master Maria, and Mr.Charles for judging and overseeing our testing. They have witnessed much growth physically and mentally of each student who tested.

This testing is especially memorable to Mr.Franck, Mr.John, and Mr.Jason because they have worked hard to achieve their Deputy Black Belts. Their dedication to our school, its students, and events shows their determination and perseverance. We, at USMA, want to especially congratulate you for all your efforts in and out of the Do-Jang.

Congratulations to these gentlemen and to Mr.Gianmarco for breaking concrete! Breaking concrete is a rite of passage from Advanced Red to Deputy, Deputy to 1st Dan Black Belt, and then Deputy Dan to Dan Belt onwards. It shows the mind is stronger than the fist if there is concentration, focus, and determination. A small fragile looking person could break versus a stronger looking person who forgets their basics & focus, thereby breaking their hand instead. Therefore we are proud of you and your will to further yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Congratulations to Our Students and Demo Team on Their Success!

Thursday, April 25th, 2013

Congratulations to all those who tested. Everyone demonstrated improvement in their technique and many others in their concentration. Keep going towards your goals…remember what matters is not the belt but the experiences made. Black is but a color if there are no experiences and knowledge behind it.

A Special ‘Thank You’ to the adults (Mr.Franck, Mr.John, Mr.Jorge. Mr.Jason, Mr.John, Ms.Linda) and the teens (Sebastian and Tommy) who came in to help with holding, judging, and assisting our junior students. Thank you to Master Maria for judging and helping for the demonstrating. We appreciate all your help!

Congratulations to our demonstration team for April (Alexis, James, Syndey, Christian, and Gabriel) for their hard work and inspiration to our younger students aspiring to become Black Belts.

Christian, Gabriel, Syndey did a superb break with boards and nunchaks to balloons demonstration with great coordination among their nunchak form. James and Alexis did incredible double nunchak balloon breaks that blew away the crowd hitting them cleanly at once. James jumped over three individuals while executing a smooth flying side kick break. Alexis snapped a board cleanly in half by using a 360 tornado backside over three people; making a very difficult kick look easy.

Congratulations to all of you for coming in to train extra hours and working hard! The children loved you and so did the adults!

***Belt presentations will be on Monday throughout each class. ***After Monday, belts can be obtained from Mrs.Chung’s office along with certificates.
