Belt Presentations is Today!

Monday, April 28th, 2014

Today was the first day we presented our belts for this April testing! If you were not able to come in, do not worry. We will be distributing belts and certificates all this week.

We would like to point out to our Deputy to Dan Black Belts, that their certificate and uniform will be awarded to them during the Black Belt Tea Ceremony in December. However, they will receive a temporary yellow tip on their belt recognizing their success. Their official belt will be awarded to them as soon as we receive it in the mail.

Congratulations to everyone and we wish you continued success!

Congratulations to the Adults and Thank You to Our Volunteers!

Saturday, April 26th, 2014

Congratulations to the adults on their testing! They showed great improvement with greater yelling and power from the previous testing. To those who did their power break of five to six boards on Thursday and Friday, congratulations! This is not an easy task, especially in one shot!

We would like to thank everyone who helped with holding and volunteering! They are a great support to the school and their peers: Mr. John Kirby, Benjamin, Sebastian Kirby, Raymond, Timmy Nguyen, and Tommy Nguyen. We thank our judges, Master Robert & Maria Zavalakos, for their continual support of our students and they time they take helping the adult class day in and day out!

We hope everyone passed and wish the best on your Martial Arts journey!

Today is Adult Testing!

Friday, April 25th, 2014

Just a reminder to everyone, testing starts at 6:30pm. Since adults have more requirements, it extends longer than yesterday’s testing. Classes are cancelled during testing dates.

Please arrive earlier to avoid conflict with traffic and have adequate time to review your requirements. Come in full uniform with your uniform jacket since this is a formal occasion.

We wish everyone the best of luck today for testing!

Congratulations and Thank You!

Thursday, April 24th, 2014

We would like to congratulations all the students who tested today, especially students who have tested for the first time! Many of them showed great improvement and impressed the judges. Others will be under watch for improvement during the next testing. If you do not receive a phone call during the weekend, then that means you have passed and will receive your certificate & belt in class next week!

We would like to thank our volunteer adults and teens who helped with target & board holding, and showing their support. These testings help them gain experience to one day become an Instructor or even a Master. Thank you Garen Kalender, Mr. John Kirby, Sebastian Kirby, Mr. Jason Norberto, Mrs. Thuy Shutt.

We would like to thank our judges Master Robert Zavalakos, Master Maria Zavalakos for coming in during their busy schedules and showing support for our students.

We had a great turnout, and after powering through testing everyone had a chance to enjoy pizza that was provided! As always, if you would like to send us your pictures by email or CD (to the office) from your child’s testing, we would be happy and appreciative to receive them! Thank you for the support!

Tomorrow is the adult testing and wish them the best of luck!

Testing is Today!

Thursday, April 24th, 2014

We would like to remind our students and parents that testing from ages 4-12 is today. Times and dates are written on the application form which is to be turned in before testing.

Here is a reminder of the schedule:

April 24th, Thursday (All Belts)
5:00pm-6:30pm: Under 7 yrs old
6:30pm-7:30pm: Students 8-12 yrs old

We would suggest coming in early between 4:40pm-4:50pm to avoid the stress of parking, have time for stretching and reviewing requirements.

For helpers, we ask them to please come in between 4:30pm-4:45pm to help the students with their requirements before testing.

We look forward to seeing the progress of our students and wish them the best of luck!

Tomorrow is Testing!

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014

We would like to remind everyone that tomorrow is testing for children between the ages of 4-12.

Here is a reminder of the schedule:
April 24th, Thursday (All Belts)
5:00pm-6:30pm: Under 7 yrs old
6:30pm-7:30pm: Students 8-12 yrs old

There will be no class on Thursday or Friday. Students must come in full uniform attire (proper jacket, belt, and uniform pants) otherwise they will be unable to test.

We wish everyone the best of luck. Our biggest advice to remember to breathe, loud yelling, and enjoy. The rest you know.

Kukkiwon Certificates Have Arrived for 1st Dan thru 3rd Students

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014

We have received the Kukkiwon Certificates for the students who have applied for them on Tuesday. We have handed them out on Tuesday and Wednesday. If you have applied and have not received your certificate please come into class so we can hand it to you.

Congratulations to all those who have received their Kukkiwon Certification for 1st Dan, 2nd Dan, and 3rd Dan. Please continue to be up to date with your certifications because it is time sensitive, and an applicant cannot apply for a current Dan without receiving their previous certifications!

Keep up the great work!
